My lake is dry, my marina is gone. The Knotty Girl is somewhere out there down the channel couple miles down, the Marina line just goes to voice mail... and its full apparently. In order to get to her I gotta drive halfway 'round the lake, put the ski boat in, drive across the chop and mess of the main part of the lake by the dam and up to where ever the Marina fragments are moored temporarily.

So Santa... all I want for xmas is 40+ feet of water. and world peace.

I gotta go.

Sympathy to all our bretheren sitting in the mud. Travis, Eagle Mtn., Cedar Creek, Joe Pool, Lake Lewisville, Lavon, Ray Roberts, and all those in Oklahoma who stare across great expanses of dirt and rock toward the day when rain will once again fall across the region.

When I saw the subject of the thread I knew it had to be about Lake Travis. I sail on Canyon Lake. Not too low yet (10 feet down from full). I live 30 miles from Lake Travis and 30 miles from Canyon Lake, so I've been going to Canyon Lake (not as crowded). I've seen pictures of Lake Travis from LCRA, 2 months ago. It was in bad shape then. If we don't get sufficient rain soon, Lake Travis will be nearly gone.

What a bummer Gabe! I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully it will fill back up.

The forecast that I've heard say we won't have significant rain until Spring. I'm hoping the forecasts are wrong.

I feel your pain. Raced many a time at Travis, Canyon, and everywhere north. We are struggling here too. Hope for some rain soon or next summer could be a bust too!

The treeline at the right and about 5 feet beyond the sign are the normal waterline.

Historically, we end up with flooding the year after the severe droughts. Two springs ago the water was so high we had to build a floating bridge just to get to the marina from parking lot. I'm thankful I made the right decision in choosing lakes and still have 21ft. showing under the boat at slip, several neighboring lakes have sailboats sitting in 5 ft of water, if they are lucky.

We are having some rain today, but not enough to really help the lake. Maybe it will slow the drop some.

yes yes, thanks for the sympathy... i'd like to scoop up a trailer, build some cradle supports for it and go and get her outta the water so at least i can work on her.
