I was looking at the stove on my h-33 today and became somewhat comfussed. Doesn't the tank require pressure? The tank has three items coming out of the top, 1. is the output to the stove, 2. the fill spout and the cap has what appears to be pop valve, and 3. a pressure gauge off of a small "T" with a screw adjustment. I have found no place to hookup any kind of a pump. My old Kenyon had the pump in the fill cap but that's not the case on this stove. It is a Kenyon model, two burner w/oven. Anyone 'splain' to this dummmy what I'm missing.

Model 505

Just went over to the basement and got the "Alcohol Stove, Model 500/505 Operating Instructions", they were inside the oven. It shows a pump, just like the one on my Coleman stove and lantern. Then I took the tank out which was also stored in the oven. It says "Use Kerosene Only"! Go figure. It as you describe: hose with valve on bottom, pressure-relief on top, and gauge on top. One difference, the gauge is on a 'T' with what looks like a valve stem of a tire. A bicycle pump for schraeder valves would definitely fit this valve. I have never had this stove on my H37C so know very little about it. I have a dorm fridge in that space with a non-pressurized Origo 3000 mounted over it.

If I recall...

The T with the guage has a bicycle tube-type fitting at the end facing to the right. My H33 came with a small hand-pump and a 1-foot hose. I attach this hose by screwing it on the fitting, and pump till the pressure is up to 9 or 10 pounds. I have severe CRS, so might be wrong about details. I am sure others will fill you in. Thanks for the response gang, I knew I could count on someone giving the correct answer. Took a second look with a flashlight and what I thought was an adjustment screw is a valve. I have reached that age where all available light is needed and my arms are too short to read the phone book. Thanks again.
