When I purchased my 1985 Hunter--there were no owner manuals with the boat--after one fire trying to figure out the alchohol stove--I think I would prefer instructions if anyone has them...please email/fax or mail? PS. This is my first boat...if this sounds naive... fax 608-264-9881 email rudolba@yahoo.com send Barb Rudolph, 2820 Mickelson Pkwy, #303, Fitchburg, WI 53711

Let me know the brand or type. I've got a 3-4 page manual forhe Origo model 1500 and 3000 that I can fax to you. I think mine was the standard issue for my '87 Hunter 23, made in Sweden or somewhere like that.

Alcohol Stove

I have an 1986 hunter 23, I believe rick Rountree is correct you should have an Origo. Good stove we make popcorn, on it all the time (Jiffy Pop stove top)and it brings water to a boil fairly fast. the grate lifts up, you should see a slidind "door" which covers the wick. The "door" will slide back when you turn the adjustment for the heat setting. Be sure you remove the rubber seal between the wick and the sliding "door". It keeps the alcohol from evaporating when the stove is not used. The Stainless stove assembly should just lift up revieling the wick chamber underneath. This is where you add fuel. you could also call (904)462-3077 ask for Eddie ext 3032 he is a remarkable resource for hunter equipment.
