We have decided to keep in a marina not lifting out as usual over
winter - what is best arrangement for anodes? We have one on prop but
that is all (??. Thanks

If there's no general anode connected to the seacocks, then I'd suggest hauling out and fitting one sooner rather than later; at the very least, wire them up to an anode and dangle that over the side whilst in the marina.

How good are you at snorkelling? If anodes are fitted it's fairly easy to go down and check their condition and I've twice replaced the general/hull anode and once done the prop shaft anode (wear heavy gloves if you've a rope cutter fitted) just by snorkelling down too.

If you're not keen on that idea, even a novice scuba diver should be able to change them for you in an hour.

Hi:
my Vega is in the water year long (with the exception about every 12 to 16 months for an anti-fauling job for a few days)
If you worry, there are some large zinks for sale. I see boats with one or two of those things hanging over the railing- connected with a wire and bolded somewhere inside to the boat.
I have only a big oval shaped zink outside on the keel and the wire through the hull. I have to exchange that zink every 3 to 5 years- never any problem. I suggest you worry most about other boats nearby- look whaty kind of battery charger they use. More boats get killed be cheep battery chargers than by any other means.
