Albin motor in Argentina

Hi everybody! My name is Santiago, I have a 30 ft sailboat in Buenos
Aires, Argentina, who has an albin motor O22. I don´t have the
original manuals, but I find a sweedish one on the web. It´s a bit
difficult for me to undeerstand. Maybe someone has an english version
of it.


Another thing is that I must change my spark plugs and I think I don´t
have the right ones. I tried to read the Swedish manual and it says
that the original are ones typified as "Bosch, W 75 TL or Bosch W75
T1" (the last letter could be an L or a 1). I called the Bosch company
in Argentina but they didn´t know this code.

¿Someone could tell me which are the right one´s or which other modern
spark plug could work properly on it?

I have the complete specifications for the Albin Gasoline 0-21 engine in English. I don't know if this will help you- maybe someone from our group (like Steve) knows.
If you can use it- I can make a copy and send it to you.

I'm currently using either Bosch: on the steel body the numbers M42B and
M43.T1, or Champion D21. The Champion was represented to me as a slightly
"hotter" plug; useful if the Bosch tends to foul easily.

I have a digital instruction hand book, about the O-21 manual. I will wait a bit, trying to find an English version of a 0-22. Thanks anyway four your offer.

Hi Peter. Thanks for the link, I looked it. The o-21 is not the same than the o-22, but some things could be similar. I will write to some people who answer my mail as well.

Here is a link to a manual for several Albin motors, including the
021.
¿Is this similar to the 022?
Anyway, it\'s in English.

Plugs Wide Socket (1") , NGK A6 Gap .7mm
Original Bosch M12B


The original plugs have the 1" socket base. It's difficult to work
with a large socket in that tiny space. If you have a good
automotive supplier in your area, they can find a substitute for the
NGK A6, with a more common socket size, and one that is just the same
plug length and heat as the original. Even the Bosch people seem to
have lost their records of the M12B here in Canada.

I read throught that handbook from the weblink provided by Peter, and
while it is not specific to the 0-22, it is a valuable resource for
maintenance.

I too am looking for an equivalent book for the 0-22, but have not
found one yet.

There is an Albin Engine group through Yahoo too. Some of the
members are not Vega owners, so they would have other helpful hints
about how the engine works on other boats.

I have a PDF of an 0-22 parts manual in English / Swedish. It has
been helpful in showing how the engine is assembled. Let me know if
you need it.
