Noisy!!!!
We have been out cruising the Caribe for almost 2 years and in that time we looked at and listened to many wind generators. We carry 480 watts of solar but were looking for a little more and some flexiblity. We researched and talked with many cruisers before purchasing our KISS. The Air Marine wins at amps per dollar. Unfortanately they are so nosiy and sound like an airplane coming in and out for a landing. The spin up and down and hunt the wind. We were in Carsqui, Grand Roque, Venezuela anchored near a boat with one and several cruisers called and asked them to turn it off. They did! We spent 2 months moored near a Cat with 2. It was annoyingly loud. Luckily he thought so and generally turned them off at night. If you are looking for bang for the buck and don't care about your neighbors, then the air marine wins. IF you like peace and quiet and don't mind spending about 300 more the KISS wins with quiet, quality, and amazing factory support. But that is another story.
