As mentioned in another post I'm assembling all new instruments for my Catalina 30. A B&G Vulcan 9 with be the primary display.

My question, what is the difference between the Airmar DST 800 vs. DST 810 transducers? And, from experience, do you guys have an preference?

Thanks!

The functional difference is the 810 provides an Attitude sensor.
Possibly also cost.

The attitude that they are talking about is heel angle and trim. I just installed an 810 on my H376 with a Raymarine system and I'm waiting for the snow to melt before I can fully test it. There's a good U-Tube video on how to calibrate the transducer, since it has a bluetooth controller. The 810 was only a few dollars more than the 800. I upgraded from the 800 because I forgot to take the transducer out when the strap from the travel lift crushed the unit. Fortunately, the 810 fits into the same thru-hull as the 800 so I only had to make the Seatalkng connection.
