Aircon condensate

When my aircon is running, I collected 1ltr/hr of water condensate. Air here is very humid. I used aluminum flexible duct for air outlet and I'm seeing quite a bit of sweating on the un-insulated flexible duct. If I change it to non-metal flexible duct would the sweating be less?

What type of air conditioning unit are you using? What is the size in BTUs? Where are you collecting 1 L/h of condensate? I would not think your air could be much more humid that ours here in the Gulf Coast so there must be some reason why your unit is not adequately removing humidity from the air. Is warm humid air being introduced from the outside through any opening?

a. Install insulated duct. It should be available in any good hardware store as homes in the area will have the same problem. The insulation looks too fat, but is squashes easily in tight spots. Y
b. Allow a small portion of the dehumidified air to run in the spaces where the ducts are. It does not take much.
c. If you are continuously condensing that much, you have a big air leak somewhere. the cabin should dry out in a few hours at most.

Gonna be humid since he is only 1 degree north of the equator. Does sound like an air leak.. dorades open, clamshells open, suction plenum connected to an unsealed cockpit locker or lazarette? Companionway adequately sealed?
Yes, insulated duct work will stop dripping from the ducts.

I've 12000 btu Cruisair unit. Humidity level is normally above 90%.
Yup my boat is leaky so outside air do gets in. Perhaps I should not run the solar vent when using aircon.
