Some considerations:
Power is required 24/7/365 to run the evaporator fan...so unless you're in a slip with shore power connected all the time, it won't work. Urine is diverted into containers, which cannot legally be dumped overboard inside the "3 mile limit," which means they must be stored aboard and carried ashore. (If you have to do that, why not just use a portpotty?)It does require a bit of maintenance--occasional doses of bacteria/enzymes and peat moss or similar medium. But either all the people who've bought 'em love it or refuse to admit they don't...'cuz everyone who has one CLAIMS to love it.IMO, it's an idea worth considering if you're on a "no discharge" inland lake...but in coast waters, a Type I MSD (CG certified device that treats each flush and discharges it--with -0- harm to the environment) for the same price makes a lot more sense.
