Thanks Pat!
This is good advice! I was on the web last night and saw a rebuilt GM10 for about $2300, which is much more palatable. For folks looking to buy a used Hunter 27 of this era - keep in mind that the engines on these boats are probably original vintage. Although mine has been working well, this is a critical component of the boat, and one that you should look carefully at. I did not, and my surveyor specifically did not do an in-depth engine assessment. On mine, most of the wires are in need of replacement, and there is a considerable amount of rust at a number of joints that I am concerned about. Not to mention all those little parts that need periodic replacement - impellors, air filters, etc. I LOVE the H27 Cherubini design, and I love my particular boat. However, the engine is giving me some grief, so be sure you consider this carefully when making your decisions. Thx again, Pat!Pete
