I want to install a 16,000 BTU air conditioner and would appreciate information reagrding the location of the vents and duct work specific to this boat.

Hunter installed the a/c on my 376. The unit is under the U seat, aft side (adjacent to sink). Vent 1 is just above the backrest of the U on the starboard side close to the freezer. Vent 2 is in the V, forward side of the closet that is above the sink. Vent 3 is in the bedroom, aft side of the starboard closet, facing aft. Vent 1 needs to be at least half closed to get enough heat to the bedroom. Allan

Gabor: I have the same unit.I've found that the max heating or cooling is a function of the ambient air temperature, wind speed, cloud cover and water temperature. Usually I can get the temperature I want, but not always. Bruce: The intake is cut in the seat support about where the calves of the legs are located when sitting on top of the a/c unit. When I go to the boat this weekend I'll measure the size of the intake and outlets. As I recall, the duct diameter is 5 inches. Allan

Hunter 27 with mermaid
The other weekend, I came back from fishing very late and did not want to wake SWMBO by getting in after 3, so I slept on the boat. There was frost on the dock and water temp was 48. Mermaid took the heat up to 72 in about 1 hr. It is on the starboard side under the seat. I plan to winterize the unit in the next couple of weeks.
