Hi, I'm trying to determine the best location for my air conditioner. I was looking at the hanging locker in the main saloon, but am afraid that the wall between the cabinets and the locker is structural. Can anyone shed some light if that is or can share where your A/C is located. Thanks in advance!

I have a P39, hull #72, w/adler barbour A/C (& their refrigeration too) w/the condenser unit located under the HW Heater in the aft (cockpit) stbd side locker and very accessible. the 'air handler' or interior fan unit is located in the aft most section of the fwd hanging locker w/vents to both the salon (aft) and the v-berth fwd.
If You select a 'package unit' like cruise-air or others, You'll have to do some measuring for placement. There's (usually) boatloads of storage space under the salon settees. Don't forget the cockpit lockers for non-package units, the sq.ft. area in these is massive...makes for lots of easy access, once YOU got down in there as well.
