Hi eric , I have a C30 1988 and my boat came with a hatch mounted AC that fit in the forward hatch.I used mine a few times when i first got the boat it was nice when it was hot with no wind at the dock.But I had to remove it to sail and it blows cold air on my head when sleeping , i like to look at the stars when im in my bunk .I only stayed at the dock when it was hot so i could use the AC ,the rest of the time we where on anchor or mooring at my moms.I have a ac that sits on the floor by the ladder and vents out with a 4" tube thru a port in the rear bunk, it works real good and i dont have to stow it away to sail. I was in northern NY and its cool on the water at night so i use heat more often. John
