Beneteau owners that have Cruiseairr A/C units may want to check their pans for corrosion. My boat is a 2004, and we have used the A/C for two years. I notice the pan was carbon steel with a mastic coating, presumably to reduce the incidence of corrosion. (Rust). Didn't work! I installed a condensator in 2005 to eliminate the rusty water in my bilge, but the corrosion continued. (Did I mention I have my boat in FRESH water?) I wonder what would have happened if our boat had been in salt water?I fabricated a new 316SS pan with radiused corners and passivated welds. Took about a week. Please check your pans, the rust will clog the darin and the pan will overflow. Also it will stain your bilge with rust water. I have the 12000 btu unit, and I could send the drawing of the pan to anyone who wants it in a pdf format. Pan will cost about $300.00 due to cost of SS. David Delich
