Just puchased a 376 with a bad case of molds & meldew. The boat was not used for about a year, and previous owner did nithing to prevent humidity damage. I have to tackle the problem and I'm plannig to lift the sole and start with a deep cleaning from the botton up. Any ideas on how to tackle this job? Should I change the air conditioner ducts? Any suggestions as of to cleaning products or anti mold and mildew? TY

Ty, Alittle mixed advise: First, we do get some occasional mold and mildew on our H380 when the conditions are right (or wrong). Typically, alittle Simple Green will clean that up. But, a few years ago at our house, we went through the agony of a major Black Mold problem. Concerning vents, we found that a 10% solution of bleach does kill off the spores. You do have to be careful not to spray anything that will bleach out or that the bleach will break down. We use the 10% solution on our boat every year in the areas that are bleach safe: bilge (with flush out), inside vent ducts, on internal fiberglass. We avoid any rubber, ports, wood, fabric that is not bleach safe. Those items get a good scrubbing of S.G. Good Luck, David
