I have decided well actually I have already mounted my AC in aft dinete bench seat. Water supply is run and 110v is in place. But now the delemma of where to mount the ac vents. I have thought about mounting 1 or 2 round vents at the end of the seat and maybe running a 4" lose through the floor and up into the other bench seat for 1 or 2 more vents. Something else I have considered is something I wanted to put past you guys. I thought about running a 4" hose to the end of the seat and attaching it to the wire run which runs the length of the boat and just installing some vent along it. This way you could place a vent in the head and vee berth with realitive ease. Am I crazy? Paul

Depends of the size of the pipe

I assume you mean the pipe/tube the wires run in and not the "space" they run in. IF this pipe is 1-1.5" then you will not get much cooling air through it even if it was empty. Everybody would love to make duct runs with 1" PVC but you cannot get much air to flow through one.

Not the pipe

The area the pipe runs it. I think that area runs all the way around the boat, in the areas I don't want it to go like the bilge, area under the vee berth, the aft lazerette I figure i could block those areas with expanding foam.

Anything is possable

If you can get it to work more power to you and let us know. As long as the "effective" diameter of the "duct" is big enough and you don't have lots of leaks it SHOLD work but the devil is in the details.
