Hi,
I have a 2009 45DS.

Never serviced.
It now will run for approx 10 min (not blowing rreally cold air either) and then shut off...the code is "LPF."

I cleaned the strainers, which were a bit junky with barnacles, etc., and noticed the water was flushing out the thru-hull with it's usual vigor.
I couldn't find the AC manual on the boat.

Is this due to barnacles blocking inlet or is it related to freon?

Many thanks.

Most service manuals are online - you didn't indicate make/model to index the codes.
Generally, there are only two reasons A/Cs don't work - air circulation, causing the coil to freeze, and low refrigerant level. The latter is unlikely with a new(er) unit.
There are a number of less likely things which can go wrong but without knowing the make unit and what the code signifies, guessing won't help you

Thank you very much.
I'll go and look at the unit.

Is there a standard AC that is used by Hunter on their 45DS from this time period?

You should check with Hunter to be sure but I believe they were all Marineair, however, that error code doesn't come up on their diagnostic list so it may be some other animal.
Something as simple as a dusty air filter on the BACK of the unit air fins could cause your problem.

On the bright side, the weather is supposed to get cooler toward the weekend.

I have 3 Marvair units on my 49 and according th their manual is low refrigerant pressure failure. However, check the intake air filter and the evaporator coil - if the filter or coils are dirty there will be no air flow and the tubes around the coil will be frozen. I had this problem before with one of my Marvair A/C's and also with other units.
