air condition for a H-29.5

I think about finally installing one on my 95' 29.5 . I would be thankfull to info from owners of this model regarding what brand , BTU range,( Mediteranean hot weather..)and experience over the years, where does it fit (for self instalation)and other instalation tips,price , etc.Since I will import this from US ( and probably no parts etc.obtainable locally), It need to be a good ,complete kit,heavy duty, minimal maintenance of solid reputation company.Manty thanks, Alex.

12K BTU

Hi Alex,I just installed a 12KBTU Mermaid in my 91 Hunter 30. I live in Texas in the US. I is very hot here in the summer. The 12K unit works fine. I have also installed dark curtains down below this makes a big difference.Jim

Water temp where you dock is ? ?

I am installing a 12K Mermaid unit on my H37C. The older boats did not have the large aft cabin nor all that "glass" so 12K should be adequate for me. The other factor is the inlet water temperature. While we often get 90 degree days with high humidity Lake Erie water rarely gets above 75 degrees. Check their site(http://dterm.com/mmair/). And they been very helpful when I have called.
