Hi. I've had an air breeze on since about Aug. 2011. The nuts bit is that it often goes into a mode where it begins to spin, spins for 3 or 4 seconds or so then "thunks" off if that's a word. Spin, whirr, red light, THUNK! Stop. Start again, same cycle. We have switch that is supposedly "on, free, off". We know never to use free. However, even whenit's turned off it still does this same cycle. Other times it just sits ther happily turning away for hours on end.

Does anyone know what this on-off stuff is and how i can modify its behaviour? The manual is about one page and does not touch any switch as AB do not get involved with that. I have tried to explain to AB but as nice as thetech suppot was, i have no clue what they were trying to tell me other than packit up and send it back, which is not an option as i am now in Malta.

Thoughts appreciated.

Sounds like a bad connection or short. Check you wire runs and terminations with a continuity tester.

Does that unit have internal regulation? Are you using that or an ext reg?

Call SWWindpower. They should be able to help.

Had the same problem, it turns out to be a bad connection. can wiggle the plug and it resets and runs great for a couple of weeks. Going to fix it when we get home..
