AICW boatyard help

Southbound @ Myrtle Beach...need to rebuild/replace a water pump soon. Any suggestions of boatyards/mechanics between here and Savannah? Not a crisis yet....

Stop at Osprey Marina and talk to Miles. Very good people. While not a boatyard, they can do the work or find the best local talent. Also great fuel prices even if you decide not to stay.

Don't know your situation or urgency for repair but if you make it as far as Beaufort, SC, try Marsh Harbor Boatyard right on the AICW just before mile marker 535. Call Peter or the office at 843-521-1500. I'm sure they can help and you get the added advantage of being near a very nice small southern town for a visit while you wait (bet it wouldn't be long though). Beaufort is a great place to lay over for a short while.

There is a boat yard in Charleston at the old Naval Base but I don't know their name or much about them. There is also another one between Charleston and Beaufort right on the AICW that is rated pretty good. Again, don't know much about it but you can Check Active Captain for info.

Thanks all for the suggestions....doesn't help it's Sunday and Veterans Day tomorrow :) But have a couple options in following the leads .
All U Get --- recognize the name but not the boat......

We too recommend Marsh Harbor Marina in Beaufort, SC if you can make it that far. They have done work for us in that past and we have had excellent service from them at a fair price. Chuck

Now sitting at Barefoot. Only got stuck once today, Lockwood Follies, and only about five minutes with the tide rising. :yeah:
