AGM Batteries

Any suggestions for the best source for 8D AGM batteries? I know West Marine has them, but don't know if their quality is the same, better, or worse than anyone else's - where else can you get them?

Probably need to look locally.

Pete:Because of the weight of batteries, you are probably stuck with a local supplier, WM or any one else. The cost of freight would eat up any savings if you buy them out of your area. As far as I'm concerned the WM gel's are first class quality. I have had my WM Gels since May of 1990. Getting them checked this season but they are still working. I must assume that they have done their homework and also have a quality manufacturer of the AGM's too.

I was looking into AGM batteries and found West a bit high in price. They have changed their battery supplier for 2000 and I don't quite trust that they went with the best and not the lowest cost manufacturer.DC Battery Specialists in Miami FL had the lowest prices even with shipping.
