After 7 years Finally Some Pictures

Finally after 7 years finally got some photos of MJS4 under sail. Sailing from Dering Harbor Long Island back to Mystic Ct. via Plum Gut. These pics were taken north of Plum Island and the Gulls by friends on an Oyster 49. Had 16 knots to 20knots of wind from the Northeast and we were on a board reach. Best sail of the season. We also got a pretty good view of the Coast Guard's Eagle off of Fishers Island.

Nice! I think you've got more sail up than Eagle. I'll be sailing that route later this week. Looking forward to it.

Marc - were you in Dering Harbor this past weekend? By chance, were you flying the signal flags up and down your rig as depicted in your profile avitar? We were there this weekend too in Dering harbor on our Catalina 30. I saw a boat that had them up this weekend that was similar to yours. I also saw an Oyster ~50 in the harbor as well. Beautiful weekend and great wind you must have had back up to CT.

Saw the same boat with the flags. I suspect it was part of the Corinthians club that had their rendezvous there. The Oyster 49 " Unconditional" belongs to our dock mates. We were at the south end of the harbor almost directly in front of the wedding that was taking place.
