Can someone with a Passage 42 tell me how the intake hose in the aft cabin is routed? Mine comes from the middle of the boat. Someone said that the newer boats use a thru hull under the aft bed.
Bill, my aft head intake through-hull on my 1990 P42 is located next to the galley sink drain through-hull in the middle of the boat. It's a long run to the aft head toilet intake, and we have had problems with getting adequate water flow into that head at times. But the alternative of cutting another hole in the boat has kept us from changing the intake position.
My thru hull is by the sink. I have a thru hull under the bed in the aft cabin I could use. What I need to know is how did they run the line from the bed to the head? Did they run it fwd thru the engine room or starboard thru the hanging locker?
This weekend I went and got the hose to run a new line. When I pulled off the hose at the head it was clogged about 95%. Once I cleaned it out it worked great. Tried to install the new line but couldn't pull the old stuff out so I am going to leave it in the boat. I have checked the hose before but it must of worked it's self to the end of the hose.
