Aft cabin leak

I have a leak down the starboard side of aft cabin....salt water seems to be coming from high up perhaps while boat is lying down a bit....perhaps coming from where deck meets toe rail......anyone have a suggestion?thanks,david

I recently had a aft leak. The solution turned out tobe the aluminum rail that holds the hatch boards. The caulking had deteriorated and I had to take out the rail and recaulk. No more leak. If there are no other obvious leaks it could be any number of deck fittings.

Toe Rails

We had an H31 (dry as a bone) and now have an H40 (had leaks in aft cabin and head coming from wall side, port and starboard), and it is the toe rails which need to be re-bedded and resealed. We did that and now we are dry as a bone again... Lots of work to do it right, but WELL worth it. Check in the archives to make sure you get the right stuff to do it.
