LOOK ALL AROUND THE AREA
Bud: Not familiar with your boat model, but on my old H31 I was absolutely amazed where water would migrate from into the cabin. A major source of aft cabin leaks is the hull-to-deck joint. If you have an aluminum toerail, you can try torqueing down on the bolts (be careful here....not too much!). You may also want to rebed all deck hardware in that area (cleats, winches, etc.). A lot of work, but on a boat 10 years old, probably about time to do this anyway. Another troubleshooting method is to hose down very smally parts of your deck, cockpit, etc. and have your significant other down below to tell you when a leak starts. Not perfect, but may help in isolating the source of the leak. Unfortunately, despite what my wife says, cabin leaks on boats over 5-6 years old are part of the territory and a lot of us have spent an inordinent amount of time hunting them down! Good luck. My experience
I now have a 37.5 and can't imagine where to look. It must be coming through one of the lazerettes, seeping over the bulkhead and then down. But how it gets to the midde would be a mystery to me. As I recall, that tray under the pedastal is one solid piece of fiberglass. On my old 31', I had a leak that I finally traced to the fuel tank fill. The bedding had eroded and an unbelievable amount of water would pour/leak in. Seems that on the 37.5 it would have to be a leaky stanchion, winch, fuel/waster fill or maybe something you've added. But it's gotta be coming in through the lazerette. Please keep us posted on what you find.

Helm Cable Penetration
On our '88 H-35 there was water that got into the aft cabin from the helm cable penetration. The cables weren't sealed well enough but some additional sealant turned off the flow. Also, someone mentioned deck penetrations. I've found a water leak in the deck penetrations like for the fuel or waste pumpout.

Hi Bud I bought the 37.5. Thank you so much for your input. I also have the leak in the aft cabin. I inspected the section where the binacle cables pass through the decking. There was little or no caulking around them. They were wide open to the weather. With the full cabin liner, however, it could be migrating from as far away as the winches. I'll let you know if that was the fix. Brett

37.5 leak
I also have experienced the leak you describe. But on my boat it only leaks when it is on the hard with the bow slightly elevated (for drainage). I have not been able to find the leak, but suspect it may be coming from somewhere around the binnacle. I checked the cable trail and found nothing. Would appreciate hearing of any findings.
