Hi, Irene snapped off all six blades of the Aero3gen on my Gemini 3000. I have replaced the blades but the wind generator sounds like it needs to be greased. I have not had enough wind to see if it is generating power. If anyone has taken an Aerogen apart I would like to chat or at least read what you did.

Maybe it destroyed some bearings if it was going fast enough to rip blades off? There is a reason why bearings have warning labels that say don't spin them with compressed air.
I had tied the blades so they would not move and I guess that is why the 90MPH wind snapped them off.
I do not have a manual and I have not found one. I have found a drawing but no instructions and I do not want to just unscrew screws and see what happens.

Thanks for all the suggestions. So here is what happened...90% of the screws were solid in the mounting, the slip ring wiring was twisted off completely and the bearings felt very rough. The cost of parts plus not being able to check if everything worked, I decided to buy an Air Breeze with a lifetime warranty. I mounted it on the solar panel arch and used the existing wiring from the Aero3Gen and it seems to work fine...so far.
