looking for info, on best place to locate ST60 depth transducer, changing segnet speed & depth to ST60 package, model T30 1990, old transducer ( signet ) is behide keel under prop shaft, I feel this is wrong area , speed is in V berth area ( appox 4feet in front of keel,( behind water tank,) were a teak plate is removed for speed transducer & water tank line. am thinking this be best place for both, I have room to locate both there beside each other. one on each side of water line, as anyone can across same problem. thanks for any info you can pass along is helpful.

Up there with your speed transducer is the right place. On my H37C the Signet transducers were both up there, about four inches to starboard of the centerline. When I installed new Nexus instruments I put both transducers four inches to port or eight inches from the old ones. The Related Link is from a picture of a holding tank project. One caution. My 1979 Signets still work. But the depth transducers interfere if both are turned on. I usually turn the old Signet off. I have not checked to see if there is a way to change the frequency of the new one, too lazy.
