I have a guy coming from TN on Friday to look at her. I have cleaned her up, taking all of my crap out of the cabin, and staged the cabin. The exterior of the boat looks clean and good as well.

Wish me luck.
I got a good feeling for you, buddy. If someone is coming all the way from TN to see her, it's a serious buyer. Let us know how it turns out!

With respect to Craigslist, put the add in every locational forum within 100 miles of where the boat is. Even inland as it trailers. You can delete it and re-post every few days to keep it near the top of the queue. Best of luck.

Bad Obsession and I are friends but he has many on this site. If he says he listened, he did. When someone who is serious coming from TN to northern portion of the VA Chesapeake Bay to look at a boat, that is a long way and I know the east coast to include VA and TN all too well. That is a serious inquiry. good luck my friend and keep us posted on how it goes. Text me as well my friend. Also thank you for letting me know how Joan Seamans is getting along. tough day for me today as Ann and I have to put our four legged daughter down named Gracie.

I'm in the market as were . Colonial Beach
I am really sorry to hear that Dave. Man, I remember vividly when I had to put my first dog down, Stormy, and I miss her. Funny, but the older you get the harder it is to deal with loss. Truly, I think of Jim Seamans often and miss him. He was such a cool personality and it left a huge hole in the sailing community when he passed. The same thing for my Dad that just passed this year (I think of him every day). There are times when I would love to pick up my phone and call them.

I had a great conversation with the potential buyer today. This guy sounds like a good match for the boat. He has some of the same ideas I had when I bought her but he seems to have the time to do what I wanted to do with her. He has already seen the exterior.

Good tip on the staging. Manuals are laid out in a good place where they are quite visible but out of the way when you enter the cabin. The cabin is clean and smelling good but not reeking of air freshener. Any personal possessions have already been removed from the boat.

I will let you all know how tomorrow goes. Like I said, talking to this guy was nice. I think that he is a very good match and he is familiar with Compac and their quality. All good things!

Bad Obsession did tell me he was glad on staging the boat like a house for sale as that helped in the sale. This is a point I want everyone to know as when folks brought used b oats to me to sell as brokerage, I had several things was a must. Remove all personal gear, fix the boat up and have it cleaned. Generally they sold very quickly. To my friend, HOORAY. Next time you see Joan Seamans, give her a hug for me.
