Hi All,

I need some help/ideas again, The foot of my main has no adjustment device its just tied of. Does anyone have pictures or ideas of how i could rig somthing so i can adjust it alot easier than tieing and un-tieing the cord each tim ei need to adjust.

I have a eyelet on the end of the boom and wondered if some sort of pully block could be rigged and run up to the front of the boom so the crew can operate it, only a though and just wondered what other vega owners had for this?

regards

Hi Scott,
do you mean the outhaul?

The foot of your mainsail runs in a slot along the top of the boom.

At the aft end of the sail there is as you say an eyelet or cringle that
allows the foot of the mainsail to be tensioned.

On my boat I just have a light cord through the cringle - back to the
shackle at teh and of the mast thjen back and forth a few times.

Probably not great to keep sail permanently stretched..

Obviously better to bring the outhaul line back to end of boom then
through a turning block and forward to a jammer/horn cleat.

I'd also be interested to see how others do it.
