Greetings

What does the square adjuster (knob) on the lower forward side of the plastic cover that surrounds the belt of the Raymarine Autopilot do?
Is it a belt tensioner?
In rough weather the engagement lever snaps down, and my autopilot disconnects itself . This knob seems too have no effect on this problem.
Think the belt has stretched?

I believe it 's a tension adjuster. My AP was squeaking a bit as it made it's constant adjustments. It was driving me nuts. I discovered this adjustment knob by accident trying to diagnose the problem. I tried turning it a bit (evidently in the wrong direction) and the squeek got worse. I went I the other direction and the squeak went away. Problem solved. You might call or email Raymarine and get a definitive answer. Their customer service is really responsive.
