Adjustable Motor Bracket
I have a mount that makes it very easy to lift the motor up and down. West Marine calls them "adjustable outboard brackets" and they can be found on their website using those words for a search. Prices ranges from $125-$250. The guy I bought my boat from got this unit at the place he bought the motor (1999 Yamaha 15 hp 4 stroke). The process of raising/lowering the motor is so simple. I must admit having a walk through transom helps, but however you're doing it now this device will ultimately save you money, but hurt the chiroprators in your area as your sore back will be gone. Good luck, let us know what you end up doing.
