Do you have a photo of your helm looking forward? I think that might help generate some ideas.

Off to finish packing :)

Jack, it was not apparently. The goofy little crane it came with looks nice, but any block attached to it routed the line through the space between the cap and the tang for the forestay, with predictable binding of the lines, and the swivels touched with potentially nasty interference. I didn't want to move it too far forward, just enough for the drums to clear, and if this one works, I'll make a better one this winter, quite possibly a whole new top cap.

It's not obvious to me what my buddy Meriachee is trying to tell me I need. I have a spinnaker halyard, complete with asymmetrical spinnaker. The only thing he shows that I don't have (in some form) is the VHF antenna. Maybe I need another beer. (The one I had for breakfast wasn't bad so I'll have one more for dessert.)

(You knew I was gonna hafta show my spinnaker {again}.)

If your jib sheet are designed to be controlled on the cabintop (yours are), like Dave notes you will have a VERY hard time getting then down and into the cockpit in a satisfactory manner, you will have to make at least two HARD turns; down and then back. Best to use rolling fair-leads but maybe simple SS-lined eyes would be OK. Remember that the lead into an winch or cam cleat needs to be from slightly below.

Not that shows anything. I'll try to take one the next time I'm at the boat. But it'll probably be next weekend.

Thanks!

Back winches and a turning block that sets up the angle for a perfect feed.

Isn't that the winch in question looking at your You-tube?

not sure about what you are talking about but when running sheets thru various turns blocks eyes and so on, it simply is more friction. If you look at the cockpit of the H260, you will see that it is next to impossible to successfully place a winch back there as the cockpit is much lower than the coach house. I sold quite a few and attempted to run the sheet lines back but no where I could see it was feasible to place a winch for the sheet lines aft of the cabin coach.

I guess you could use a longer arm or a "tad" pole. (Been waiting all week to drop this one, Phil is going to send me to the time-out chair.)
