I have an 03 326. Currently instruments are ST40 (depth & speed and an ST60 wind meter). Power goes to wind meter and seatalk plugs provide power to other two instruments. Can I splice into power line running to instruments to install a Garmin GPS. I do not want to run a line through boat to fuse panel. Their is three large gauge wires in pedestal that do not have power (maybe for windlass or autopilot which I do not have). Any suggestions.

You can tap into the power circuit for you instruments but you will no doubt need to install a fuse to protect the GPS unit. Install it in the power line after the splice.

thanks

Good. I had already bought an in line fuse with 15 volt fuse just in case.

It will specify a fuse amp and type. Most likely a quick blow type. Mine is a 1 amp but like I said, read your manual.
I assume the power circuit to the instruments has a circuit breaker, that will protect the wires. You need the fuse to protect the GPS unit.
