adding fittings

I have a new (2008) H216. Does anyone know whether one can add fittings (cleats and handgrips) to the hull? Will this void the waranty? If not, what type/length of screw is used (or do you need to bolt through the hull?)

A call to your dealer should answer the warranty question. Personally if I needed cleats or hand holds I would just do it, safety first. Anything mounted on the deck has to be through-bolted. Cleats need to be mounted where there is reinforcement. From the tone of your question I think you should have the dealer do the work.
