Adding copper sulphate to anti-foul paint

I've been told that if you and copper sulphate to your anti-foul paint it makes it last a lot longer has anyone had any experience with this.

Nope, but why do that? Modern antifouling paints are very effective and perhaps by adding an additive, you might be interfering with the formulation the paints out of the can. Micron technology by Interlux is pretty neat stuff. No need to mess with it.
