Adding a holding tank to an O'Day 25

Has anyonne done this? I'm looking to hear from anyone about location of tank, location of deck-fittings and the like. Thanks - Geof

Good MorningMany years ago my wife and I owned a 1976 25' O'day. If memory serves me correctly, the tank was a small 5 gallon, located under the "V" berth. Obviously, 5 gallons is less than adequate if you are really going to sail. However, there is ample room in that location to secure an appropriate size tank in that area. From there, you could run the hose topside, via an access point on the port side. (I believe that the head is on the port side). Good Luck!

Holding tank

Geof,I agree with the previous post. I had a '76 O'D 25 and now have an '84 O'D 26. The 26 has a 12 gallon (?) holding tank beneath the v berth with hoses running to the head on the port side and top side deck with a manual pump mounted on the bulkhead. The space beneath the v on the 25 and 26 seems about identicle so it seems you should be able to get a decent size tank beneath the berth provided you cut a big enough hole in the berth to fit it in.Good luck
