I just finished building a fibreglass cladding over my SS folding bowsprit. It’s a bit unorthodox but she works just fine.

This looks amazing. Well done. What keeps it from folding up when in use? Is there a reason you didn’t cut a hole in the top to accept the D-Ring on the middle section when folded?

Thanks. The pin that you can see on the starboard side locks it in the down position and when folded. Thus the D ring can also be used In the folded position. This option is not really needed.
