I have a brand new Hunter 33 and would like to add a bimini. Estimates have been in the 3k range for one that accomodates the arch. Has anyone had any luck adding one of the cutom or pre-measured biminis online...especially on a boat with the arch? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

where are you?

Your choice of which install (factory or custom) will depend on where the boat is.

Rick, I added a bimini to my 99 H310 from arch aft to cover stern rail seats. Bought ss bows from sail-rite, hardware on-line and had canvas shop build canvas for it. Very happy after 3 years

Hi Rick, our boat came with a bimini...

The first year or so I refused to install it because I felt it blocked my view of sail shape. Three years ago I decided to install it and that is where I left it year around. It has a window at the helm so that I can still keep an eye on trim. Most of the time though I'm outside of the cockpit doing this and that. I now prefer the bimini as a weather shade; rain, sun, etc. Terry

bimini

Rick: I have a large bimini that's 2 years old from a Hunter 410. It looks brand new and has been seldomly used. I am going to sell it as I am not going to use it. You would need someone to install it as it attaches to the arch on a small track. I'm only a couple of hours away from Buffalo.

bimini

Rick: I think custom biminis look and fit better. I have a 2 yr. old bimini from a H410 that looks brand new. It's been used only a few times. You would need to have it instaled as all custom biminis are attached to the arch with a small plastic or metal track. I'm only 2 hours away from Buffalo.
