With the forum comes the neat feature of an image of the person starting a new post. If you add to that post, you will see your smaller image attached to the larger image. This would be a great time to get a nice image and make it an avatar so when you post, the image is visible. As you can see, my image of me behind the helm is visible. Any image will work (just make it rated PG... LOL).

Images look much better than a blue box with initials in it. :)

It is a very simple process...
1. In the upper right corner of the forum you will see you name.
2. Hover your mouse pointer over your name and a list of actions will appear.
3. Go down the list and you will see Avatar.
4. Click on that action and it will direct you to upload an image.

That's all you need to do. Is it really needed? No, but it does look much better than a blue box with initials. However, you might like that blue box, and that is good also.

As you can see from mine, the nauticaler the betterer. (And just so you'll know, it's really not easy being green.)

Green is good, as long as it's not attached below the waterline.

Also as long as you are not hanging over the rail feeding the fish. :D

I'm sure that a certain female of the porker persuasion (there really was no delicate way to say that) would have encouraged tie wraps and prop shafts with the commentary of below the waterline.
