I have a 1989 26 D in need of a new main sail.
Was wondering if anyone could give me some details of how easy it would be to adapt a Doyle stack pack main sail meant for a 1995 26S over to my 26D

Any ideas.

The S and D are basically the same boat with some variance in assembly tolerances. It should work fine. Doyle quoted me $1700 for a StackPack 2 years ago. It included: "Stackpack Cover system, 4 Full Battens, 1 Reef,
Custom Lazy Jacks w/hardware, Moderate girth, Bag".
Since then I've done some reading on full vs partial battens. While full battens will flake easier, they also add more weight and cause the boat to be more tender. IMHO, the Mac is tender enough.
