Rain here most of the weekend and and busy with other things so we haven't been on the water (It should be better today.)

Did anyone get out this weekend? (If there's no pictures it didn't happen.) :waycool:

CAL 35 Cruiser #21 moored EVERETT WA
Ken. Looks like a couple of days break in the NW liquid sunshine then more showers. Been in Salem doing final cleanup before I sell my Montgomery 15 to her new owner. They say the best two days for a boat owner are the day you buy it and the day you sell it. But that is not true. Been sitting in her and enjoying a beer as I put one last coat of varnish on her companion way wood. Fun times sailing in this pocket cruiser. She's helping to cover some of the costs of the mast restoration. But still parting is such sweet sorrow.
Be up there in Everett mid June. Maybe we can drink a beer and go for a sail.

I had a hard time parting with our last one too. A june sail sounds good to me.

We went out with a couple of friends on Saturday, which was a gorgeous day on the Chesapeake (sunny, 70s) with a steady 10-12 knot breeze out of the south. A little payback for all the drizzle days we've had in May.

Looking forward to getting out later in the week. The big holidays are best spent pulling weeds and working on the boat in the front yard. Too many yahoos out this weekend for us.

Saturday wenty up the Chesapeake Bay , the Chester River, the Langford West Creek. Nice 80-degree day. Had a circle raft of 14 Singles on Sailboats (.org) boats. Sunday we got into the Magothy when the engine died. Changed filters, blew out the line, but could not bleed the line, so maybe no fuel even though the gauge says 1/4. Storm expected with 30 knots, we headed back under sail for Back Creek, Annapolis. Out by the Sandy Point Light House we could smell hotdogs being cooked ashore. The rains came, but the 30 winds only got to 15. The wind died as we entered Back Creek- still under sail. The cutie crew I had hailed a passing racer for a tow. How could he say no? That got us the last 1/4 mile and we barely ghosted into the slip. My 2 female crew actaully appreciated having such an oportunity to face adverse condition- even though it turn out to never be a threatening situation. Happy Holiday, and thanks to all Vets out there.

Not only this weekend Ken but have been out for the better part of this month. We have spent the last 3 weeks in Desolation Sound (run off of one of the falls in Toba Inlet shows). Blessed with gorgeous weather not-with-standing the badly needed deluge 2 days ago. Weather for the next week or so looks very promising.

Catalina 22 Pensacola, Florida
Got a pix to prove it, every square inch of anchorage taken up in Pensacola area this weekend, got crowded out on saturday by power boats and dueling C&W stereos, twice banged into by drunken dinghies. But hey its nice out. And any day sailing beats any day doing anything else (except maybe skiing in garmis

Out for a few hours here in Beaufort SC after several days of rain from Bonnie. A great day to sail, but then again any day you can get on the water safely is a great day to sail. I took my niece and her daughter out for their first sail - they loved it!

Went out 4 times (twice in light air) last week in Pensacola. Sat had 8-10, so a better day to sail. Jacktar, where were you anchored that got so crowded? I'm in Pelican Perch Marina (Bayou Chico), so don't normally get as far as Ft McRee or go into NAS.

Light winds Sunday on Lake Lanier, but got in a couple of hours to stretch out the jib just returned from Sail Care. Funny, I don't remember those big wrinkles on the main, guess I was just happy to be out there :). I do remember loosening the outhaul at some point.

We spent all last week at the ocean and came home Sunday.

I got a chance to try out my new dinghy sail.

The Admiral found a new place to sit although it took her half a bottle of wine to get up the courage to leave the cockpit.
