I have recently purchased a 2006 Hunter 36. I am unable to figure out how to turn on my external, on the arch speakers. It has the Clarion stereo, and not the sony stereo system. Any clues or direction? Thank you in advance. I find the hull must be very well insulated as the blaring stereo below decks can barely be heard topsides!

Never played with a marine stereo, but the other thing that comes to mind is an A/B selector of some sort (buttons, switch position, etc.) like on home stereos, for each pair (A or B) of speakers. If you have the model number of the head unit, you could do a google search for a manual.

Final thought: If the speakers are not wireless (bluetooth) you need to verify that the speakers are connected electrically. The wires could be bad, or disconnected. The troubleshooting is simple with a meter.

Could it be the Fade control adjustment?
I agree this could be the way it's wired.. it's how I wire mine so I still have left and right, and can balance the interior and exterior speakers, or shut them off completely when I get done annoying my neighbors...

Exactly. That's how mine are wired. Cabin is front, cockpit is rear. Hope this helps.
