We don't think acrylic would be strong enough. We used 3/8 inch
polycarbonate. Also, any tint will reduce the amount of light
reaching the cabin. We considered tinted windows - they would look
really cool from the outside - but we don't think enough light would
reach the cabin. When we replace our current windows, now eleven
years old, we will use clear polycarbonate again.

I'm thinking non colored also after debating myself for a while.
Where I came up with acrylic is here.

I concur on the choice of polycarbonate. Why use acrylic when the ports are a known weak point on the Vega. I used 1/4" but did a very labor extensive rebuild changing from the two large ports to four smaller ports. Having
