at first I was going to hire someone to install my new charging system, however around here there seems to be a limited amount of people will / capable so I am doing myself.
I am in final stage of diagraming my alt / regulator/ acr hookup and have a couple final (ha) questions for clarity.
My alt (balmar 150 / mc614) and tc 40 will now connect directly to house bank fuses with a dual MRBF 200amp and 80 amp fuse. Using 80 amp for the tc 40 as I plan to upgrade this to 60 soon. From there I have a Blue Sea 7622 ACR. To feed starter bank. Will I need to fuse at the Starter bank as well with similar fuses?
Also I have a beneteau with typical beneteau wiring with a jumper cable between the house and starter banks. Is there anything I need to change here immediately or will all be good for now? Eventually I will use main sails diagram and modernizing / normalizing but just don’t have the time right now
Most days I keep both banks in parallel and just keep an active eye on batteries and would like to continue with this ability.
