Title should read Switch. Sorry

I have had limited time on my 87 MKii Catalina 30. I noticed when I was there for a few minutes yesterday that when I push the accessory button on the distribution panel a buzzing sound is made. It is similar to the water pump sound when I push that button, but the sound comes from the forward part of the cabin. What is that?

Also, I knew the macerator wasn't working when I bought it. Wouldn't use it much anyway. But do they usually work again if I can force the impeller to turn after a long time of no use? The amps peg out when I push the button. Thanks.

Macerator: There is a screw at the back of the motor. Turn it clockwise, may free up the pump. Go to either the Jabsco or Shurflo websites and download a manual, they explain it.

Thanks Stu. Was there no "standard" item connected to the accessory switch? Was there ever a second water pump installed, maybe for a deck shower or something?

My 88' MKII has two accessory switches. One connects to a vhf, the other to the radio. Pull up the center floor panel and have someone tug gently on the wire that leads to the access. switch. Chances are, if something is buzzing its a seized motor.

On my '88 Mark II panel one of my switches says" REFRIGERATOR" and other "ACCESSORY". I use the Accessory for my AM-FM-CD radio. Since I have no DC refridgeration, I leave it be as a spare switch (no wires attached).
