My water level sensor seems to be sticking in the tank. The water level gauge sticks & bumps up erraatic & doesn't always read full when the tank is full.
Has anyone accessed the sensor in the tank ? it looks like you have to cut a hole in the storage area under the V berth. Any assistance would be appreciated

I changed the wema sensor; it was easy. Cut out a section of the plywood, don't skimp on size. Measure the length of the sensor and get a replacement from wema. I don't remember the size. The old one was junk; the new one is much better quality. Screw in two pieces of lattice under the board and rest the cut out on the lattice.

The WEMA level sensor comprises a central column extending the depth of the tank and it has a foam float in the form of a ring which runs up and down. Inside this ring is a magnet, also in ring form, and which starts to rust. Rust on the inside of the ring magnet causes it to bind on the vertical column and then not to give true readings.
Disassembly and clean up and re-lacquering inside gives an extra year or so of life.

In the end I bought a new stainless steel sensor from WEMA because my plastic one snapped off inside the tank as a result of pounding to windward and the free surface affect doing the damage.
Since then all okay!
