Hi all, I went to change the Yanmar secondary fuel filter (3GM30F) today and it is very close to the engine compartment wall. Seems I would have been able to knock the top off OK with a small hammer and screwdriver, but getting it back on looked harder. Stopped, did something else until I got home and did this post for any advise.

Any tricks I should know about?

We have a 1997 Beneteau Oceanous 321 with Yanmar 3GM30F . Have replaced the fuel filter on the engine and as you stated there is not a lot of room even on our 321.it takes some time and patience, make sure when you replace the filter you also replace the “O”ring on the filter casing.
Also have some absorbent pads placed under the filter to contain any spilled fuel also have a container at hand to empty the filter casing an put the used filter in
The Previous owner did install a screw cover acess panel opposite the filter which helps get at the filter you may be able to do the same.Hope this helps
