On my H37.5, 1994, I need to access behind the wood panel where the radio and propane switch is located. Has anyone successfully removed that panel? I don't easily see how to do it without removing recessed and capped screws in the edge trim around the top. It is the wood panel to the left in this photo. Any help would be appreciated.

Like you I needed access to the same area on my h40.5. I could not reach far enough through the open switch panel, so what I did was to cut a 4" hole (or so) in the top shelf area above the panel. I closed that hole with a screw-in deck plate. Now when I need access I just unscrew the deck plate and reach in. I would put in the largest deck plate that will fit- especially if you have fat arms!

Rich, good suggestion. I might have to come up from the bottom because I have only a few inches above the top shelf. Thanks.
