Hi:
We have a new-to-us 411. We have evidence that the void under the forward head shower pan contains some water and that water is wicking between the grid and bulkhead into the forward stateroom. It's a small quantity of water but it's sufficient to cause the wood bulkhead to stain. There does not seem to be any limber holes to allow this water to reach the sump. We did die some water red and fill the shower pan. No evidence of the die appeared elsewhere which suggests the shower drain piping is tight. Has anyone experienced this problem and if so, how was it solved.

Possible repairs for water under pan.

Get on a port tack and sponge it out below the sink through hulls. Next check where it is coming from. Most likely the water is from the sink and you are leaving the pressurized water on to long with a loose fitting.

Hope that helps. Solved my problem.

Thanks. Good idea about the port tack. We have checked repeatably for leaks to no avail.

My 393 and your 411 have very similar design characteristics. On mine, under the forward bunk matress is an access panel. I wiped up some water there after working on the forward head's water system and spilling some water under the sink. See if you have the same access panel.

Thanks. Under our mattress is an access panely but it's on top of water tank which is well elevated above the water under shower pan. We did find water along lower edges of water tank that had seeped through the bulkhead separating head from forward stateroom. This was the initial cause of concern since it has stained the wood along the lower edge of bunk.
