I have a Hunter 460 (2002) that leaks water from rain on the inside of the non-opening portlight directly under the genoa track on the cabin top. I think some of the bolts holding the track have worked loose. The manual talks of soft headliner access panels on pg. 41H. Can anyone help me with how one removes those panels without causing damage. This would allow me to reach the nuts on the bolts holding the track. The manual also mentions (see "whisper" insert for further instructions)..I have no such insert. Any help would be appreciated. bnealsails

Removing the soft panel is easy. Putting it back is much harder.
To remove, you start at a corner. Use a pair of needle nose pliers and just grab & pull. It will come out of the track.
To re-install, I suggest you contact the mfg for a proper tool.
I think your Genoa bolts are tapped into an aluminium track which is tapped, and glassed into the deck

Thanks so much. Just the fact that I have the chance of removing the bolts one at a time to reset the track gives me hope...and if I need not remove the soft panel that would be great. The 460 is new to us and we are learning as we go. Have had a Peterson 44 for 25 years (still do) and there are soooo many differences. Appreciate your reply. Barritt
